My title sequence project revolves around the thriller mystery show, Hannibal, which follows a hidden cannibal and an FBI psychologist. The goal was to capture the show’s unsettling elegance and psychological intensity through motion and visual symbolism. Using Adobe After Effects for animation and Adobe Illustrator to design custom vector assets, I created a sequence that balances minimalism with tension.

I started the title sequence with the name of the show in a minimal manner and eerie music to set the scene.
The next scene captures one of the show's most iconic scenes, displaying a circle of human bodies.
It is then followed by silhouettes of the main protagonists, symbolizing the secrecy both characters hide behind.
The camera follows multiple knives moving which reveal and hide producer names.
The camera pans down and follows the dripping blood spilling from the illustrated meat slice.
The scene transitions to blood growing and spreading across a human.
The blood slowly growing across the screen paired with the creepy music, create a sense of uncomfortability.
I decided to include the clock scene to highlight the impending doom the protagonist feels.

Storyboard
I initially started with a hand drawn storyboard. These drawings are always very loose and quick just to brainstorm visual placement. Moving the sotryboard onto Illustrator I aim to refine a bit more of the overall concept. At this point, I am starting to decide what shots would work and what wouldn't. This project includes a script, so the red lines give me an idea of where to place the text.
